We invite you to join us at the annual Fulton County Marching Band Exhibition on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at the Cambridge High School stadium. This event features all 15 FCS High School Marching Bands and is a fun, crowd-pleasing evening! Gates open at 5:00pm, and the first band performs at 6:00pm. Click here to view the full line-up for the evening: https://www.fultonperformingarts.org/lineup All spectators must purchase a ticket to get in to the stadium, regardless of arrival time. Tickets are $5 and all proceeds go toward supporting this collaborative, educational event! Cash, check, and credit cards will be accepted at the gate.
Spectator parking is FREE! All specators will enter and exit from the Cogburn Road entrance to Cambridge HS.
We hope to see you there! The FCMBE will be on Saturday, September 21 at Cambridge HS. The first band will perform at 6PM, and the final band should be done around 9PM. We will do a final run through of our performance at North Springs before loading the buses. Here's the tentative schedule:

October 22 - Advanced Band and Orchestra December 10 - Advanced and Intermediate Bands May 12 - Spring Concert These concerts are all in the North Springs Theatre at 7:00 PM. In addition to the regular school concerts, we will participate in the Large Group Performance Evaluation in March. This will be during school hours sometime between March 2-7 of 2020. We are excited to welcome everyone for the 2019 Marching band season. Scrimmage Game TONIGHT!!! Hope everyone can make it out to support the band tonight, as they play in the stands tonight!!! We will not be performing during half-time. Students should wear their 2019 Marching band t-shirt that they received yesterday at practice. Kick-off is 7:30 pm. Thanks to everyone who has volunteered for tonight’s game! We are in desperate need of volunteers for ALL upcoming games. Dues and Fundraisers Please remember to pay your dues!!! We operate the band from the money collected for dues. Dinners, snacks, waters, special band events, scholarships, etc. All functions of the band are dependent on band dues being paid. We appreciate everyone getting this done! The band is planning on hosting a Car Wash Fundraiser on Saturday, October 12th. More details will follow shortly. We will definitely need a few outdoor “tents” for shade, if anyone has one they can loan. Please save the date. A volunteer and donation sheet will be posted soon. Please help by making our ONE fundraiser a huge success! Practices and Game Night Weekly practices will be Tuesdays and Thursdays 4-6 pm. Please bring water and sunscreen everyday! We will be outside. Dress appropriately. Games are Friday night. Please refer to band website for information on upcoming game schedule and band news. North Springs Band Website Dinner is provided for students on game night! Game Schedule and Volunteers Below is the game schedule for 2019 Marching season. We will need 4-6 chaperones for every game. This is a very simple, fun volunteer opportunity. Simple: transport water coolers, seat cushions, and first aid kit to stands, hand out water throughout show, collect a little trash, and load out at end of game. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet other band parents, get to know the students, and have the best, free, non-crowded seat in the house. It’s basically VIP!!! I challenge each family to volunteer for ONE game. We lost many of our long time volunteers when their students graduated last year. We need volunteers!!! Especially, for away games. We cannot leave NS without chaperones on the bus. Volunteer sign-up sheets will be available at Gear Up Days and at first day of band camp. You can sign up online at the following link. If you are unable to access the form, please email Stacy Kerber at tkerber@bellsouth.net with the date you can volunteer and she will add you to the list. Volunteer Sign-up Sheet All volunteer opportunities can be accessed through this form. It will be continually updated as volunteer needs change. If you have not done so this year, please complete the school volunteer process at Fulton School Volunteer Process. The Spring Concert, originally scheduled for Thursday, May 16th, has been changed to Tuesday, May 14th.
Several students from advanced band will be performing with Orchestra on May 9th. All students performing with Orchestra will receive a letter this week. |
