No marching band practice after school tomorrow (10/11) due to PSAT for underclassmen & seniors absent.
Dear Marching Spartans & Parents/Guardians,
We are taking orders for Parents/Friends/Family who wish to purchase a Marching Band T-shirt this year. Shirts are $12 and are navy blue with our orange marching band logo on the front. T-shirts are available in sizes S-2XL.
Orders (with payment) must be received no later than Wednesday, 10/4 for delivery by Homecoming.

It was incorrectly communicated to Band Parents that Senior Night was scheduled for 10/20 (same night as Homecoming).
We apologize for the error.
The correct date for Senior Night is 10/6.

Marching Spartans will play at our first morning PEP BAND of the year on Friday, Sept 15, 2017. Pep band students should report to the band room at 7:30 AM wearing your Marching Spartans Band T-shirt.
Our first regular season home game is Friday (7:30 PM) & the band is playing from the stands and performing our half time show! As with all football games, students should report to the band room immediately after school and they will be given dinner at no additional cost (covered by their band dues!)
Friday night is also Community Night with our feeder schools invited to the game. It's a wonderful opportunity to show off our Spartan Marching Band!
Thank you to the parents & guardians who have volunteered as chaperones for our games this season. We're all set for Friday but do need a few more (later in the season) so please consider helping. It's easy & fun! Sign up on Charms (https://www.charmsoffice.com/) or by using the Calendar Tab found at the top of our HOME page. When looking at the band calendar, volunteer needs are indicated by a "handprint" beside an event. Sign up by clicking the hand print. You can always email Renee Hasterok if you'd like to volunteer (firstname.lastname@example.org)!
Here's to another great season of marching band!
Due to the school closings, there is no marching band practice today.
Due to the anticipated severe weather in the Atlanta area, Fulton County has canceled school for Monday and Tuesday. Therefore, band practice is also canceled for Monday, September 11. Stay tuned for information about Wednesday's practice.
Did you know that all school volunteers are Mandated Reporters?
Not sure what that means?
Take the Child Abuse Reporting Protocol Training to find out!
Every year, in accordance with state law and best practices, Fulton County Schools requires that all persons interested in volunteering in the Fulton County School District to register (even if you have completed an application in the past) by completing the online volunteer registration/application and Mandated Reporter training.
It only takes about 10-15 minutes for the application process & training.
You may not realize that all school volunteers are considered mandated reporters (i.e. must report suspicion of child abuse). In accordance with state law, all volunteers must be current with the Child Abuse Reporting Protocol Training before being allowed to volunteer in our schools.
North Springs Marching Spartans will participate in the Fulton County Marching Exhibition on Saturday, Sept 23, 2017 at the Cambridge High School Stadium in Milton, GA (2845 Bethany Bend, Milton, GA 30004).
