Dear Parents & Guardians,
The Band is kicking off a new fundraiser this year using the 'Snap!' program that allows us to use email, social media, and text messaging to quickly raise money for our program. All that is asked of each participant is that they gather 20 or more email addresses from family, relatives & potential supporters that may be willing to donate to our band program. Your contacts are strictly private & protected; they will simply receive a personalized donation request on behalf of your student during our fundraiser.
If you could please help your student complete PART B of the form (download file below), this would be a huge help to our program. We need full participation in order to reach our fundraising goal! Thank for your support.

Only 5% of students who audition for the prestigious Curtis Institute of Music get in and North Springs own Mekhi Gladden is one of them! Of 18 aspiring Oboists who auditioned, Mekhi was the ONLY one selected. Curtis is THE school for professional musicians who want to play in a major symphony orchestra!
Congrats Mekhi!! Your Spartan Band family is very proud of you!

GMEA Large Group Performance Evaluation
Date: Monday, February, 27 20017
Location: Cambridge High School
The Georgia Music Educators Association’s LGPE is an annual evaluation of middle school and high school band, orchestra, and choral ensembles from every district in the state. This is an important event for us as it gives our students and directors valuable feedback from a credentialed panel of judges on the state of our performing groups.
Here are the performances details:
Fulton County is working on buses for our students. We will travel in either school buses or chartered coaches depending on availability. I will need at least two chaperones for each performance. Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are available and would like to travel with us.
The performances are free and open to the public. Plan on arriving at least 10 minutes early as the doors will be closed once the evaluation begins. When our stage performance is finished, parents are welcome to move to the sight reading room with us to hear that performance as well.
Please join us for the Intermediate & Advanced Band Winter Concert, Tuesday night, 12/13/2016 at 7:00 PM (auditorium @ North Springs).
As always, attire is concert black - tuxes and dresses.
North Springs Charter HS
After Friday night's blowout win against Lithia Springs, our North Springs Spartans are headed to the playoffs!
We are playing Buford High School (2750 Sawnee Ave, Buford, GA 30518) at 7:30 PM this Friday, November 11. Due to the distance and traffic, the marching band is planning to load buses at 5:10 PM and leave North Springs by 5:30 PM at the latest. We should return to NS sometime between 11:00 and 11:30 PM, depending on the length of the game.
Chaperones should meet in the band room no later than 4:30 PM.
Seniors and their parents in the marching band are invited to a special dinner hosted by the Band Boosters before the game on Friday, November 4, 2016. Hope you can join us for a catered dinner at 5:00 PM in the North Springs cafeteria.
Seniors will be presented pre-game on the football field at 6:30 PM. Seniors and their escort(s) are asked to line up on the visitor sideline at that time. All escorts and family members must have a paid ticket to enter the game and participate in the festivities.
Senior parents are asked to please RSVP if you plan to join us for dinner. RSVP to Sharon Gilbert at email@example.com
Congratulations to senior, Josiah Wandu, drum captain for the Marching Spartans Band, on being voted Senior Prince 2016 at this year's Homecoming!
